Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredient List: 

7 1/2 pounds margarine
6 1/2 pounds brown sugar
8 pounds granulated sugar
3 pounds eggs, substitute, liquid
1/2 cup baking powder
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon baking soda
5 pounds, 4 ounces oats, old-fashioned or quick cooking
4 1/4 pounds all-purpose flour
4 1/4 pounds whole white wheat flour
3 pounds, 4 1/2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup vanilla extract

Description: USD 320, School Food Service, Wamego, Kan., uses whole white wheat flour in all their baked goods with great success.
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Beat margarine, brown sugar and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs; mix well.
Stir together baking powder, salt, baking soda, oats, all-purpose flour and whole white wheat flour. Add flour mixture to margarine mixture. Mix just until all ingredients are moistened.
Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla. Drop rounded tablespoon of dough onto ungreased baking sheet or portion with No. 40 dipper onto parchment-paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are light golden brown.
Bake Temperature: 350 degrees F
Bake Time: 10 to 12 minutes
