With more than 15 percent of children in the U.S. obese, it is critical that parents take a more active role in their children's diets. To provide parents with a tool for use in educating their children about healthy eating, the Wheat Foods Council partnered with celebrity chef and mother of three, Chef Gale Gand, and parents across America to develop an educational cookbook, "Food for Thought from Parents to Children."
A portion of cookbook proceeds benefits Spoons Across America, a not-for-profit organization that works to positively influence the eating habits of children through hands-on education.
