Burson-Marsteller PR Firm Finalist for Prestigious PRSA Award
PARKER, Colo. (April 2009) – The Burson-Marsteller public relations team for the Wheat Foods Council was recently confirmed as a PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) 2009 Silver Anvil finalist, as well as the winner of the Publicity Club of Chicago’s 2009 Golden Trumpet Awards in the “Marketing” category. Burson-Marsteller is the agency of record for the Wheat Foods Council, whose nutrition education project of bringing a live, growing wheat field to the heart of New York City last October is being rewarded.

The Silver Anvil is a national award, recognizing and honoring the very best public relations programs planned and executed each year. This year’s competition drew a record 893 total entries. Of those, only 126 organizations became finalists. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in New York City on June 4th.

The Golden Trumpet is the most prestigious awards program in the Midwest honoring distinguished individual achievement of public relations and communications. These coveted awards are presented for excellence in planning, creativity and execution. The team will accept this award at a ceremony set for May 14th at Chicago’s Palmer House Hilton.
