Asian Garlic Butter Spread
Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1 1/2 teaspoon Chinese chili sauce
2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
3 teaspoon fresh chives, minced
Directions:
Combine butter, chili sauce garlic and chives. Chill in the refrigerator for one day to enhance flavors.
Spread can be used on crackers or French bread, grilled Texas toast and fresh Artisan bread.
As Asian Garlic Bread:
1 French bread cut into 16 slices and spread with Asian butter mixture and grilled.
Nutrition:
One serving provides approximately: 33 calories, 0 g protein, 0 g carbohydrates, 0 g fiber, 4 g fat (2 g saturated), 10 mg cholesterol, 0 mcg folate, 0 mg iron, 42 mg sodium.
As Asian Garlic Bread:
One serving (1 small slice) provides approximately: 140 calories, 3 g protein, 17 g carbohydrates, 1 g fiber, 7 g fat (4 g saturated), 16 mg cholesterol, 31 mcg folate, 1 mg iron, 261 mg sodium.
