Welcome Message

Dear Visitor:

What energizes you, fuels your daily activities, nourishes your body and provides essential nutrients? It’s not an expensive multi-vitamin or exotic herbal supplement. The answer is wheat!

Created as a nonprofit organization in 1972, the Wheat Foods Council supports the nutrition and taste benefits of grain foods from "farm to fork." The Council aims to help increase public awareness of grains, complex carbohydrates, whole grains and fiber as essential components of a healthful diet.

The 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the current MyPyramid Food Guidance System are results from exhaustive research regarding what Americans should eat to attain and maintain health. This research confirms what we have known all along -- grains play a very important part in a healthy diet.

The Wheat Foods Council is the only grain organization that serves all facets of the grains industry. From recipes and food photography to educational materials and interactive kids' pages, we strive to provide the most accurate and complete grain nutrition information for all ages.

Please visit our website often for valuable grain facts or contact us for questions and media inquiries.

Healthy Regards,
Wheat Foods Council
